THE GREEN MOUNTAIN steaks

Root roll (paillasse)

Garlic

Lettuce, washed and cleaned

red bell pepper, cut into strips

Tomatoes, cut into wedges

Cheddar, grated

Black pepper from the grinder
This is how it’s done:
1.
Cut the root rolls in half and place briefly on a grill plate until they are slightly crispy. Rub the grilled surfaces with garlic and set aside.
2.
Prepare the steak according to the instructions on the packet. Then cut the steaks into thin slices and place on a baking tray the size of a bread roll.
3.
Arrange the tomato wedges and bell pepper strips on top; finally, sprinkle the cheddar on top. Melt very briefly in the oven at 200°C (without color).
4.
Place the salad on the rolls. Carefully place the “cheese steak strips” on the salad and cover each with the second half of the roll.
Tip: If you like it a little spicier: 5 tablespoons mayonnaise; 2 tablespoons ketchup; pinch of salt; pinch of chili. Stir everything together and spread on the rolls under the salad.
